Job Description
We are working in partnership with secondary schools in Lincoln that are looking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join their supportive teams from September.
\nThis is a rewarding opportunity to provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.
The Role\nAs a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and the SEND team to support students with a variety of additional needs, including:
\n- \n
- Social, Emotional and Behavioural needs (SEMH) \n
- Lower cognitive ability \n
- Low-level Autism (ASD) \n
- Dyslexia \n
- ADHD \n
- Some students with physical disabilities \n
- Personal care support (if you are comfortable providing this) \n
You will play an important role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment while encouraging students to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
The Ideal Candidate\nWe are looking for someone who:
\n- \n
- Has experience working with children or young people with additional needs (school, care, youth work or similar experience is welcomed) \n
- Is patient, empathetic and resilient \n
- Can build positive relationships with students and staff \n
- Is confident supporting students with behavioural, social and emotional needs \n
- Is comfortable providing personal care where required (desirable but not essential) \n
- Is committed to helping every student succeed \n
