Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a well-known and highly successful manufacturing company based in Dungannon. Our client has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Management Accountant to join their team.

\n

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller this role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities within cost accounting, making it ideal for someone who is results-focused and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

\n

Day-to-day of the role:

    \n
  • Maintain and set annual standard costs for machines – materials, labour, and overhead.
  • \n
  • Manage inventories, including cycle counting, physical inventory counts, reviewing variances, and preparing cycle count KPIs.
  • \n
  • Monitor and report on raw materials prices and factory overheads.
  • \n
  • Participate in the annual budget process and monthly/quarterly forecasts.
  • \n
  • Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities.
  • \n
  • Prepare month-end financial information to achieve a 4-day close, including journal preparation and data entry into the corporate reporting database.
  • \n
  • Submit monthly and quarterly management accounts, corporate narratives, and operating analysis.
  • \n
  • Assist in quarterly forecasts and annual budgets, supporting department managers with budget costs.
  • \n
  • Participate in internal and external audits, review internal procedures, and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • \n
  • Provide key performance indicator (KPI) information to department and corporate management.
  • \n
  • Support the Financial Controller in all aspects of financial management

Required Skills & Qualifications:

\n
    \n
  • A third-level qualification in Accounts (CIMA/ACCA/ACA preferred).
  • \n
  • Proven experience in cost accountancy within a manufacturing environment.
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of accounting systems, proficiency in Excel and MS Word.
  • \n
  • Experience with Oracle is desirable.
  • \n
  • Understanding of UK/US GAAP and internal control elements.
  • \n
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
  • \n
  • Ability to work overtime, prioritise tasks, and perform effectively under pressure.
  • \n
  • Confidence in delivering presentations and strong interpersonal skills.
  • \n
