Are you from a procurement background or similar, with a background in manufacturing or similar, looking to join a well-established business that offers career development and the opportunity to work within a fast-paced engineering environment?

On offer is the opportunity to join a growing and supportive company where you will play a key role in ensuring the continuity of production by sourcing and procuring engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing spare parts and services. You'll work closely with customers' maintenance and technical teams while driving supplier performance and delivering cost-saving initiatives.

In this role, you will be responsible for reacting to purchase requisitions, sourcing engineering and facility spare parts, placing purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and ensuring goods arrive on time. You will also negotiate the best commercial terms with suppliers, resolve delivery and invoice issues, and identify opportunities to reduce costs through price negotiation, product substitution, and standardisation.

The Role:

• Source and procure engineering, maintenance, facility, and manufacturing equipment spare parts and services.
\n
• React promptly to purchase requisitions for both ad-hoc (spot buy) and inventory-controlled items.
\n
• Place purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing records within the company ERP system.
\n
• Expedite supplier deliveries and update delivery promise dates to ensure continuity of production.
\n
• Monitor supplier performance to achieve on-time delivery targets.
\n
• Negotiate the best commercial terms, including pricing, lead times, and payment terms.
\n
• Identify and deliver cost reduction initiatives through supplier negotiation, approved product substitution, and product standardisation.

The Person:

• Background in procurement or similar
\n
• Background in Manufacturing or similar
\n
• Knowledge of engineering, maintenance, and factory consumable products.
\n
• Understanding of engineering supply chains.
\n
• Commutable to South Molton
\n
