Credit Controller (12-Month Fixed Term Contract)

£27,500 annually

Glasgow

Full time, Mon – Fri, 08:30 – 17:00

Reed Accountancy are delighted to be working with a global market leader based in Glasgow to recruit a Credit Controller on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

\n

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and highly respected business, supporting the effective management of customer accounts and helping to maintain strong financial performance.

\n

The main purpose of the role is to reduce aged debt, support cash flow, resolve account queries, and build strong relationships with clients. This opportunity would suit a proactive and detail-oriented individual with previous experience in credit management.

The main duties of this role are:

    \n
  • Chasing outstanding debt and supporting the timely collection of payments
  • \n
  • Managing customer account queries and payment disputes through to resolution
  • \n
  • Allocating incoming cash accurately across customer accounts
  • \n
  • Carrying out account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies
  • \n
  • Assisting with cash flow forecasting activities
  • \n
  • Processing customer returns and account adjustments
  • \n
  • Producing regular client and management reports
  • \n
  • Supporting the management of held or blocked customer orders
  • \n
  • Setting up new customer accounts and maintaining accurate account records
  • \n
  • Providing support during internal and external audit processes
  • \n
  • Processing and reconciling credit card transactions
  • \n

To succeed in this role, applicants will need:

    \n
  • Previous experience within credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar finance function
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • \n
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills
  • \n
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including confidence communicating by email and telephone
  • \n
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the wider Microsoft Office suite
  • \n
  • Experience using ERP systems or finance software
  • \n
