Financial Controller

Our client an amazing brand are currently looking for an interim Financial Controller to manage the reporting for their South European business area. The role will be responsible for the end-to-end accounting and controls ensuring critical reporting and control performance is completed correctly and to deadlines.\n

• Lead in preparation of local statutory accounts for markets working with Outsource Service Providers where required.

• Close the month end reporting cycle accurately and on time
\n
• Responsible for the end-to-end record to report cycle
\n
• Ensure companies meet all compliance requirements
\n
• Supporting the Group Finance in the Annual/Monthly accounting cycle
\n
• Performance of monthly ledger reconciliations and controls. Deliver a true and correct general ledger position by monthly and annual deadlines to ensure the Groups stakeholder reporting requirements are met.

• Advanced technical knowledge of IFRS and experience of practical application
\n
• Management of internal/external auditor information requests and wider relationship
\n
• Supervise, lead, motivate and develop assistant controllers ensuring delivery of their activities in an accurate and timely manners
\n
• Provision of financial information to support corporation tax return
\n
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
\n

The successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant with practical working knowledge of Italian GAAP and Tax. Fluency or business level Italian will also be essential within the role.
