Senior Accountant

Reed
Bracknell, ENG, GB Full Time

Job Description

Reed Finance are delighted to be partnering with a valued returning client to recruit a key hire within their finance team.

\n

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who wants to make a real impact within a growing business. Working as part of a small, collaborative finance team, you'll gain end-to-end exposure across all areas of finance, making this a fantastic role for someone who enjoys variety, responsibility, and continuous learning.

\n

This is a highly visible and business-critical position, working closely with local and global stakeholders. You will be involved in a broad range of responsibilities including month-end reporting, statutory accounts preparation, tax compliance, process improvement initiatives, and supporting the implementation of new systems and ways of working.

\n

While some tax experience would be beneficial, our client is not looking for a tax specialist. Instead, they are seeking someone with a genuine interest in this area and a desire to develop their expertise alongside their wider accounting responsibilities.

\n

The successful candidate will have:

\n
    \n
  • Experience within a finance or accounting role.
  • \n
  • Exposure to month-end processes and financial reporting.
  • \n
  • An interest in statutory accounts and tax-related activities.
  • \n
  • A hands-on, proactive attitude and willingness to get involved across all aspects of finance.
  • \n
  • A strong desire to learn, develop, and broaden their skillset.
  • \n
  • An interest in improving processes and implementing new systems.
  • \n
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across both local and global teams.
  • \n
  • A collaborative approach and strong team fit.
  • \n
\n

This role offers far more than a traditional finance position. As part of a small team, you'll have the opportunity to see the full finance function from end to end, gaining valuable exposure that is often difficult to achieve in larger organisations.

\n

The business is looking for someone who is curious, driven, and excited by the opportunity to contribute to future improvements and help shape the finance function as it continues to evolve.

\n

This position is a primarily office-based role, however following successful completion of the three-month probation period, employees are able to work from home one day per week.

\n

If you're looking for a role where you can genuinely broaden your experience, take ownership, and play a key role in a supportive and forward-thinking finance team, we'd love to hear from you.
