Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Interim Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable (AR/AP) Manager to join on a 6-month contract to provide leadership, continuity, and drive transformation across the AR/AP function during a period of transition.The role will initially provide full cover for the AR/AP Manager during a period of paternity leave. Following this, the successful candidate will work alongside the existing AR/AP Manager developing and delivering an overhaul to the KPI reporting framework and driving process improvements.This is a key role combining operational leadership with process improvement and reporting enhancement, ensuring the function continues to perform effectively while evolving to meet future business needs.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational LeadershipProvide full cover for the AR/AP Manager during a period of paternity leave, ensuring continuity of all AR and AP activities, and continue to support beyond this period, including:Oversight of day-to-day operations and workflow across Accounts Receivable and Accounts PayableMonitor performance using KPIs, support and develop the AR/AP team to ensure high performance and service levelsEnsure adherence to company policies, controls, and financial proceduresKPI Reporting & InsightDefine, develop, and implement robust KPI reporting for AR and AP functionsDeliver clear, actionable performance insights to senior stakeholdersMonitor key metrics including (but not limited to) DSO, invoice processing times, and payment performanceUse data to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvementProcess ImprovementIdentify and resolve system and process bottlenecks within AR/AP operationsDrive process efficiencies, standardisation, and automation opportunitiesStrengthen controls and improve overall operational effectivenessWork closely with finance and systems teams to implement improvements________________________________________Key RequirementsProven experience managing AR/AP teamsStrong understanding of end-to-end AR and AP processesDemonstrated experience designing and implementing KPI/MI reporting frameworksExperience identifying and resolving process inefficienciesStrong stakeholder management and communication skillsAbility to operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment________________________________________Contract DetailsHybrid Working (Full Time) – Minimum 2 office days per weekDuration: 6 months (interim contract)Start date: ASAPLocation: Leeds City Centre________________________________________Personal AttributesProactive and solutions-focusedStrong leadership and team engagement skillsDetail-oriented with a continuous improvement mindsetAble to balance operational delivery with transformation supportTPBN1_UKTJ
