Location: Leamington Spa Contract: Permanent, Full Time (3640 hours per week)Salary : £12.88 per hourJoin Heart of England Mencap and help people with learning disabilities lead fulfilling lives where they can thrive and reach their full potential.We're looking for caring, enthusiastic and committed Support Workers to join our teams in Leamington Spa.We currently have opportunities available within our Complex Needs Day Service and our Short Breaks (Respite) Service. We invest in our people through comprehensive training, career development opportunities and ongoing support.About the Opportunities Complex Needs Day Service Our Day Service supports adults with complex learning disabilities both within our centre and out in the community. Customers enjoy activities such as swimming, accessible cycling, gym sessions, music, cooking, art, sensory storytelling and farm-based activities.Support is provided on a 1:1, 2:1 or 3:1 basis and may include personal care, eating and drinking support, postural care and promoting independence through meaningful activities.Typical hours:Monday to Friday9:00am4:00pm (four days)9:00am5:00pm (one day)Occasional longer days and Saturday working may be available.Short Breaks Service Our Short Breaks Service provides a welcoming home-from-home environment where customers stay from one night to two weeks, helping them build confidence, independence and life skills.You'll support customers with daily living, personal care, medication, meal preparation and community activities including gardening, sports, shopping, cafés, cinema visits and much more.Shift patterns include:Early shiftsLate shiftsSplit shiftsWeekendsSleep-insAbout You We're looking for people who are:Caring, compassionate and reliablePassionate about supporting people with learning disabilitiesKeen to learn and developPrevious care or relevant support experienceA full UK driving licence is desirable but not essentialWhat We Offer £12.88 per hour25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysExtensive training and development opportunitiesEmployee Assistance ProgrammeMental Health First AidersBlue Light Card discountsRefer a Friend schemeLong Service AwardsOccupational Sick PayLife AssuranceStaff Recognition AwardsWhether you're interested in a Monday to Friday Day Service role or a flexible Short Breaks Service role, we'd love to hear from you.
