Electrical Estimator Location: Birmingham Contract Type: Permanent Sector: Electrical Building Services Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 Description An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join an established and growing electrical building services contractor based in Birmingham. The company delivers electrical design and installation projects nationwide across a varied portfolio, including commercial, retail, hospitality, self-storage, industrial and super-prime residential projects. The successful candidate will join the in-house estimating team and play a key role in pricing projects from initial enquiry through to tender submission and successful handover. This is an opportunity to work on high-profile, technically interesting projects, including prestigious hotels, premium retail environments, major self-storage developments and high-end residential schemes. Key Responsibilities * Reviewing tender enquiries, drawings, specifications and scope of works * Preparing accurate and competitive electrical estimates * Completing detailed electrical take-offs and measurements * Producing labour, material, plant and subcontractor costings * Obtaining and analysing supplier and specialist subcontractor quotations * Reviewing electrical designs and identifying risks, omissions and opportunities * Liaising with clients, main contractors, suppliers and subcontractors * Attending site visits and tender meetings where required * Identifying value engineering opportunities and alternative solutions * Managing multiple tenders and ensuring submissions meet deadlines * Maintaining accurate records of live tenders and quotations * Working closely with the design, project management and commercial teams * Supporting the handover of successful projects into the delivery team
