Location: York (Candidates must have a York postcode) Salary: £35,000 - £45,500 per annum (DOE) Start Date: Approx. 1st September Positions Available: 2 Employment Type: Permanent (preferred). About the Role An opportunity has arisen for two experienced Fire Alarm Service & Maintenance Engineers to join an established and growing team. The role involves working with a wide range of industry-leading fire detection systems across commercial and industrial sites. The successful candidates will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of fire alarm systems, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard while delivering a professional and reliable service to clients. Key Responsibilities Service and maintain fire alarm systems in accordance with current regulations and company standards. Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently. Complete service reports and relevant documentation accurately. Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures at all times. Deliver excellent customer service while representing ACEDA professionally. Participate in an agreed out-of-hours call-out rota. Experience Required Applicants should have experience working with a variety of fire alarm manufacturers, including: ADT Aico Apollo EMS Firecell Gent Hochiki Kentec Minerva Nittan Notifier / Honeywell Notifier / Hyfire Protec Zeta Ziton Experience with multiple manufacturers is highly desirable. Essential Requirements Must have a York postcode. Proven experience servicing and maintaining fire alarm systems. Full UK driving licence. Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Willingness to participate in an on-call rota. No unspent criminal convictions.
