Lead Solar Installer - Midlands (Travel Across England & Wales) - Competitive Salary + Vehicle + Benefits
\nDo you hold a Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation or an equivalent electrotechnical qualification?
\nDo you have current 18th Edition (BS7671) certification?
\nDo you have hands-on experience installing Solar PV systems across a variety of roof types?
\nDo you hold a full UK driving licence and are you happy to travel across England and Wales?
\n\nIf the answers are yes, we are hiring for a Lead Solar Installer on behalf of a growing renewable energy contractor delivering Solar PV, Battery Storage and Heat Pump projects across the UK.
\n\nWHAT YOU NEED
\nLevel 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation or equivalent essential
\n18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification essential
\nExperience leading or supervising installation teams within Solar PV, renewable energy or electrical projects
\nStrong knowledge of Solar PV installation methods, system components and performance
\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, roof layouts and installation specifications
\nConfident using power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
\nGood understanding of UK electrical regulations and safe working practices
\nStrong problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
\nExcellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with customers, suppliers and project stakeholders
\nComfortable working at height and in varying weather conditions
\nFull UK driving licence
\nLevel 3 Solar PV qualification (City & Guilds 2922 or equivalent) desirable
\nPrevious experience as a Senior or Lead Solar Installer highly desirable

\nLead installation crews on residential and commercial Solar PV projects
\nPlan and organise daily installation activities
\nInstall solar panels, mounting systems and associated electrical components
\nCarry out commissioning activities and quality checks
\nEnsure all work complies with health and safety regulations and industry standards
\nIdentify and resolve on-site technical issues
\nLiaise with project managers, suppliers and customers throughout project delivery
\nProvide guidance, support and training to installation team members
\nComplete installation reports and system handover documentation
\nTravel to project sites across England and Wales as required
