Role Title: Building Surveyor

Location: Dorchester, Dorset Rate: £400 - £500

Duration: 3-6 months

Our client is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to support their property portfolio. This is a hands-on role ensuring safety, compliance and high standards across a diverse range of assets.

This role involves lots of travel in Dorset, so the role requires someone who lives local.

Responsibilities

• Ensure asset compliance, safety, and maintenance
\n
• Deliver planned/reactive maintenance programmes for portfolio of assets
\n
• Manage capital repairs projects (£100k plus), through procurement and implementation
\n
• Manage budgets, contracts, and procurement
\n
• Collaborate across teams and with external partners
\n
• Maintain property data and performance metrics
\n

Essentials Skills & Experiences:

• Education: Degree-level or equivalent
\n
• Has delivered R&M programmes of work, managed contractors, budgets and stakeholder relationships
\n
• Strong communication and leadership
\n
• Legal and contract understanding
\n
• Digital property systems proficiency
\n
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving
\n
• Local Authority operations knowledge
\n
• Significant travel required
\n
