Early Years Educator / Montessori Teacher

Full-Time | September Start | South West LondonSalary: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Educator / Montessori Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive preschool environment from 1st September. About the Role

\n

As a key member of the teaching team, you will have responsibility for your own group of key children, planning engaging activities and outings while ensuring they enjoy a meaningful and enriching experience.

You will follow both the Montessori Curriculum and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, maintaining detailed learning journeys and supporting each child's individual development and progress.

  • Acting as a Key Person for a group of children

  • Planning and delivering engaging learning experiences and outings
  • \n
  • Supporting children's development in line with EYFS and Montessori principles
  • \n
  • Completing observations, assessments, and learning journeys
  • \n
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • \n
  • Creating a stimulating, safe, and nurturing learning environment
  • \n
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and specialist teachers
  • \n

About the Setting

\n

The school is located within a charming single-storey building situated in the heart of a beautiful park. The setting consists of two classrooms, each staffed by three Lead Teachers who share responsibility for key children.

\n

The team benefits from the support of visiting specialist teachers who deliver vocational subjects, alongside colleagues from other branches who provide expertise in:

What We're Looking For

Essential:

\n
    \n
  • Experience working within an Early Years setting
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
  • \n
  • Fluent spoken and written English
  • \n
  • A genuine passion for supporting young children's learning and development
  • \n
  • Professional appearance and commitment to maintaining high standards
  • \n
\n

Desirable:

\n
    \n
  • Level 3 Early Years Educator (EYE) Qualification
  • \n
  • Montessori Diploma or Montessori experience
  • \n
  • Experience as a Key Person
  • \n
  • Knowledge of child-led learning approaches
  • \n
\n

Working Hours

\n

Teachers work a set weekly rota:

\n

  • 3 days: 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • \n
  • 2 days: 8:30am - 6:30pm
  • \n
\n

Core teaching hours run from 8:45am - 3:00pm, with wraparound care available before and after the school day.

Holiday Entitlement

Teachers receive 7 weeks' holiday per year, including:
