Schemes Supervisor

Your new companyA leading infrastructure and highways contractor is looking to appoint a Highways Schemes Supervisor to support the successful delivery of highway improvement, road renewal and maintenance schemes across London. This is a site-based role, working closely with project delivery teams, contractors and stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.Your new roleAs Highways Schemes Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day delivery of multiple highway schemes from pre-construction through to completion.

• Review and check Method Statements, Risk Assessments and Construction Phase Plans.
\n
• Monitor programmes and coordinate with contractors, clients and local authorities to ensure key milestones are met.
\n
• Manage permits, approvals and site documentation.
\n
• Maintain accurate site records, including labour, plant and photographic evidence.
\n
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved designs, specifications and health & safety requirements.
\n
• Carry out regular site inspections, including traffic management checks and safety inspections.
\n
• Support the resolution of construction issues and provide information required for compensation events and early warnings.
\n
• Assist with the production of as-built information and handover documentation.
\n

What you'll need to succeed

\n
• Previous highway construction experience is essential.
\n
• Knowledge of NEC3 contracts and the ability to manage site instructions and change control processes.
\n
• Understanding of the Specification for Highway Works.
\n
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
\n
• Ability to manage multiple contractors and work streams simultaneously.
\n
• Knowledge of Chapter 8 and Traffic Management requirements.
\n
• Full UK driving licence.
\n
• SMSTS or NRSWA qualification.
\n
• CSCS card preferred.
\n
• Temporary Works Coordinator or Supervisor qualification desirable.
