PLC Co-ordinator

We are seeking a committed and passionate PLC Coordinator to join our Personalised Learning Support team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable young people by providing targeted support, alternative learning opportunities and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.

• Manage and coordinate the PLC Centre and alternative learning provision.
\n
• Deliver and support alternative curriculum programmes leading to recognised qualifications.
\n
• Identify and support students facing barriers to learning, attendance, behaviour or wellbeing.
\n
• Build positive relationships with students, parents, staff and external agencies.
\n
• Develop and monitor personalised support plans and interventions.
\n
• Support students in progressing to further education, apprenticeships or employment.
\n
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to the monitoring of student progress.
\n
• Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and positive behaviour at all times.
\n

Essential Requirements

\n
• GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
\n
• Experience supporting young people, particularly those with additional needs or barriers to learning.
\n
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
\n
• Strong organisational and record-keeping abilities.
\n
• Ability to work effectively with students, families, colleagues and external professionals.
\n
• Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and inclusion.
\n
• Willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development.
\n
• Enhanced DBS clearance.
\n

Desirable

\n
• Experience working within a secondary school, alternative provision or similar educational setting.
\n
• Experience delivering interventions, mentoring programmes or alternative curriculum pathways.
\n
• Knowledge of services and agencies that support vulnerable young people.
\n
