\nWe are seeking a committed and passionate PLC Coordinator to join our Personalised Learning Support team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable young people by providing targeted support, alternative learning opportunities and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Manage and coordinate the PLC Centre and alternative learning provision. \n
- Deliver and support alternative curriculum programmes leading to recognised qualifications. \n
- Identify and support students facing barriers to learning, attendance, behaviour or wellbeing. \n
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, staff and external agencies. \n
- Develop and monitor personalised support plans and interventions. \n
- Support students in progressing to further education, apprenticeships or employment. \n
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the monitoring of student progress. \n
- Promote safeguarding, wellbeing and positive behaviour at all times. \n
Essential Requirements
\n- \n
- GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent). \n
- Experience supporting young people, particularly those with additional needs or barriers to learning. \n
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. \n
- Strong organisational and record-keeping abilities. \n
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, colleagues and external professionals. \n
- Commitment to safeguarding, confidentiality and inclusion. \n
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development. \n
- Enhanced DBS clearance. \n
Desirable
\n- \n
- Experience working within a secondary school, alternative provision or similar educational setting. \n
- Experience delivering interventions, mentoring programmes or alternative curriculum pathways. \n
- Knowledge of services and agencies that support vulnerable young people. \n
