- Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (1st September - 23rd October) \n
We are seeking a SEND Teacher to join our team at a local school in Morecambe. This role is ideal for someone who has experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The position is full-time, from Monday to Friday, starting on the 1st of September and initially running until the 23rd of October, with the possibility of extension depending on the school's requirements.
\nDay-to-day of the role:

- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences for children with SEND. \n
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives. \n
- Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests. \n
- Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities. \n
- Observe and evaluate student performance and development. \n
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students' progress and development. \n
- Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, district policies, and school regulations. \n
- Prepare required reports on students and activities. \n
- Manage student behaviour in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures. \n
Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a SEND Teacher or in a similar role working with SEND children. \n
- Strong understanding of the challenges faced by children with SEND and strategies to address these. \n
- Ability to create and adapt teaching materials to meet the needs of children with SEND. \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- Patience, resilience, and dedication to student development. \n
- Relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent). \n
