SEND Support Role

1:1 KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant - Stockport | Full Time | September 2026

Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an experienced 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in KS2 at a welcoming Primary School in the Stockport area from September 2026.

This is a rewarding but challenging role, supporting a child with additional needs who requires consistent, positive behaviour support. The successful candidate must be confident managing challenging behaviour, building strong relationships and creating a calm, structured learning environment.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience supporting children with SEND on a 1:1 basis in a primary setting
\n
• Hold a valid Team Teach qualification (essential)
\n
• Be confident managing challenging behaviour using positive behaviour strategies
\n
• Be reliable, resilient and enthusiastic, with a nurturing approach
\n
• Work effectively as part of a supportive school team
\n

This is a full-time position starting in September 2026.
