\nAre you a compassionate and patient individual with experience supporting young people with Autism or ADHD? Tradewind is currently recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming secondary school on the Wirral, starting in September.
About the Role:\nThis part-time Teaching Assistant position is ideal for someone passionate about supporting students with additional needs. You will work closely with the SENCO and classroom teachers to provide tailored one-to-one and small-group support for students with Autism and ADHD, helping them to engage positively in lessons and make good progress.

Providing one-to-one and small-group support for students with Autism and ADHD

Assisting teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
\n - \n
Supporting students with emotional regulation, focus, and classroom participation
\n - \n
Implementing strategies to promote positive behaviour and learning
\n - \n
Liaising with teachers, parents, and the SEN team to monitor progress
\n - \n
Contributing to a positive, nurturing classroom environment
\n

Previous experience supporting students with Autism and/or ADHD (essential)

A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
\n - \n
Good communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
\n - \n
Experience within a secondary school setting (preferred but not essential)
\n - \n
A valid enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for one)
\n
