We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a progressive specialist Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) school in Blackpool this September.

Supporting pupils ranging from Key Stage 1 up to Key Stage 4, this role is vital in helping young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs overcome barriers, build self-esteem, and successfully re-engage with their education.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Providing 1-to-1 and small group mentoring tailored to the developmental stages of children and teenagers with SEMH needs.
\n
• Using positive behaviour management and effective de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe, calm, and nurturing environment.
\n
• Building trusting, professional relationships to guide pupils through emotional regulation and personal growth.
\n
• Collaborating with teaching staff, pastoral leads, and external agencies to track progress and implement behaviour support plans.
\n

What We Are Looking For:

\n
• Proven experience supporting children or young people with challenging behaviour, SEMH, or working within a special school / AP setting.
\n
• High emotional resilience, patience, and exceptional de-escalation skills.
\n
• A valid Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to process a new one via PAYE).
\n
