Reed Further Education is recruiting on behalf of a leading further education provider for a passionate and skilled Carpentry & Joinery Tutor.

\n

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced carpenter or joiner looking to move into education, or for an established tutor seeking a fresh challenge. You will support both full-time students and apprentices, helping them develop the technical skills, knowledge and behaviours needed to succeed within the construction industry.

The Role

\n

As a Carpentry & Joinery Tutor, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and practical training to full-time learners and apprentices.
  • \n
  • Support learners in developing industry-standard carpentry and joinery skills.
  • \n
  • Track learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • \n
  • Promote the development of employability skills, including English and maths.
  • \n
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • \n
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high-quality learning experiences.
  • \n
  • Inspire learners to achieve their full potential and progress into successful careers within the construction sector.

About You

\n

We are looking for a motivated industry professional who has:

\n
    \n
  • A Level 3 qualification in Site Carpentry or Bench Joinery.
  • \n
  • Current and relevant industry experience within carpentry and joinery.
  • \n
  • Teaching qualification from L3
  • \n
  • Assessor qualification (desirable)
  • \n
  • DBS on the update service or the willingness to apply for one
  • \n
\n

All candidates who register with Reed Further Education will have 2 years’ referencing taken up and will be required to have a DBS check completed.
