\n\nYour new role
\nWorking for the Registers of Scotland, this role will lead the development of a clear roadmap for customer data products and licensing, supporting the organisation's commercial strategy, customer service, responsible data use, innovation, and growth.
\nThe postholder will work closely with the client account function to ensure customer insight, account intelligence, service feedback and commercial opportunities inform the customer data product roadmap and route-to market activity, and line management responsibility is likely as the function and operating model develop.

\nRegisters of Scotland (RoS) manages 21 land, property and other legal registers which are a critical asset for the Scottish economy. They aim to provide the best public service for Scotland and are on a mission to make some of the oldest public land registers in the world into some of the most modern.
\n\nResponsibilities
\nLead data licensing reviews and improvements across the organisation.
\nDevelop and manage a roadmap for data products, licensing, and commercial opportunities, aligned with business and customer priorities.
\nIdentify opportunities to simplify licensing and support growth, customer needs, and responsible data use.
\nProvide expert advice on how to bring new and existing data products to market.
\nLead the development of new customer data products.
\nEnsure strong governance, oversight, and decision-making.
\nProduce clear, evidence-based recommendations.
\nLead the client account management team, overseeing customer relationships, account plans, and commercial opportunities.
\nManage the data licensing and strategy budget.
\nCoordinate cross-functional teams to deliver priorities, manage risks, and resolve issues.
\nManage supplier relationships and data licensing contracts.
\n\nExperience needed
\nExperience developing and managing data products and services, with knowledge of data licensing and contracts.
\nStrong commercial and financial awareness, balancing customer needs, risk, budgets, and value for money.
\nExcellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
\nExperience working with public sector or regulated data, including governance and transparency requirements.
\nKnowledge of data product pricing, commercial negotiations, supplier and customer contracts, and budget management.
