The Role

\n

As a Electrical & Fire Security Lecturer, you will:

\n
    \n
  • Deliver engaging and inspirational lessons across construction trade programmes.
  • \n
  • Plan, prepare and assess high-quality learning activities that meet curriculum and industry requirements.
  • \n
  • Support students to develop both technical and employability skills.
  • \n
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • \n
  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • \n
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and employers.
  • \n
  • Contribute to course development, quality improvement and curriculum enhancement activities.
  • \n
\n

What We're Looking For

\n

To be successful, you will ideally have:

\n

Industry experience within construction trades

\n

NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area

\n

A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one

\n

Excellent communication and classroom management skills

\n

A passion for helping learners achieve their potential

\n

Knowledge of safeguarding and learner support responsibilities

\n

The following would be advantageous:

  • Assessor and/or verifier qualifications
  • \n
  • Previous teaching experience within a post-16 or further education setting
  • \n
  • Strong employer and industry links
  • \n
