\nVIQU have partnered with a global eCommerce organisation that delivers a high-traffic digital platform used by millions of customers worldwide. As they continue to invest in their technology function, they're looking for a Lead Frontend Developer to provide technical leadership across a business-critical engineering team.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineer looking to shape technical direction without moving into line management. You'll lead by example, driving engineering standards, reviewing code, mentoring developers and helping deliver a modern, scalable frontend platform.
\nYou'll work within an Agile team focused on enhancing a customer-facing eCommerce platform, influencing architectural decisions and ensuring the team continues to deliver high-quality, performant software.
\nKey Responsibilities

- Provide technical leadership across the frontend engineering team. \n
- Set coding standards and champion engineering best practices. \n
- Lead code reviews and mentor developers to improve quality and consistency. \n
- Design, build and enhance a high-performance eCommerce platform serving millions of users. \n
- Collaborate with Product, Delivery and Engineering teams to influence technical direction. \n
- Drive continuous improvement across development processes and tooling. \n
- Participate in an on-call rota during peak trading periods. \n

Requirements
\n- \n
- Strong commercial experience with React, TypeScript and modern JavaScript. \n
- Experience developing high-traffic, customer-facing web applications, ideally within eCommerce. \n
- Strong Node.js experience. \n
- Previous technical leadership experience through mentoring, code reviews and setting development standards. \n
- Solid understanding of frontend performance optimisation and responsive design. \n
- Experience working within Agile development teams. \n
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. \n
