This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic RE specialist, Religious Studies Teacher, Humanities Teacher, or ECT RE Teacher to inspire students and develop their understanding of religion, ethics, philosophy, and contemporary issues.

The Role

As a Teacher of Religious Education, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities to teach Key Stage 5 Religious Studies for the right candidate.

You will:

• Plan and deliver high-quality RE lessons in line with the National Curriculum and agreed syllabus requirements
\n
• Encourage students to explore a range of religious beliefs, ethical issues, philosophical concepts, and cultural perspectives
\n
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support attainment and achievement
\n
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect, tolerance, and critical thinking
\n
• Prepare students for GCSE Religious Studies examinations and support excellent outcomes
\n
• Contribute to the wider Humanities department and participate in enrichment activities, assemblies, and educational events
\n

What We're Looking For

\n
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
\n
• A degree in Religious Education, Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, or a related subject
\n
• Experience teaching RE/Religious Studies at secondary level in the UK
\n
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
\n
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
\n
• Experience teaching GCSE Religious Studies is highly desirable
\n
• Experience teaching A-Level Religious Studies, Philosophy, Ethics, or Humanities would be advantageous
\n
