Senior Delivery Lead

Location: Telford (Hybrid - ideally 2 days per week onsite, minimum 1 day per week)Rate: £550 per day (Inside IR35)Contract Length: 6 MonthsClearance: BPSS Required (SC Desirable)Start Date: ASAP

Our Government Public Sector client is seeking an experienced Senior Delivery Lead (SFIA Level 5) to support a large-scale Agile software engineering programme.

This role is ideal for a delivery professional with a strong background in leading complex software development initiatives, managing multiple Agile teams, and driving successful delivery outcomes within fast-paced environments.

• Lead delivery across Agile software engineering teams.
\n
• Coordinate multiple workstreams, dependencies, risks, and delivery plans.
\n
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
\n
• Manage RAID logs, governance activities, and stakeholder reporting.
\n
• Remove blockers and drive continuous improvement across delivery processes.
\n
• Build strong relationships with technical teams, business stakeholders, and programme leadership.
\n

• Proven experience operating at SFIA Level 5 as a Delivery Lead, Delivery Manager, or similar.
\n
• Strong track record delivering Agile software engineering projects and programmes.
\n
• Experience managing multiple Agile teams and concurrent delivery workstreams.
\n
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
\n
• Experience with Scrum, Kanban, Jira, Azure DevOps, and Confluence.
\n
• Demonstrable experience managing risks, dependencies, governance, and delivery reporting.
\n
• Excellent planning, leadership, and organisational skills.
\n

• Public sector or government programme delivery experience.
\n
• Experience working alongside Java engineering teams.
\n
• Understanding of cloud-native environments, APIs, microservices, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
\n
• Active SC Clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance.
