JB507: ReceptionistLocation: Rainham, EssexSalary: £14.28 per hourOverviewFirst Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Receptionist on behalf of one of our clients.As the first point of contact for students, staff and visitors, the successful candidate will play a key role in creating a welcoming and professional environment while providing effective administrative support to the wider team.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel; however, all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities for the Receptionist:

- Greet and welcome all students, staff, visitors and contractors in a friendly and professional manner. \n
- Answer, screen and direct incoming telephone calls, taking accurate messages where required. \n
- Manage visitor sign-in procedures and ensure safeguarding and security protocols are followed at all times. \n
- Maintain a clean, tidy and welcoming reception area. \n
- Provide administrative support to the school's management and administrative teams. \n
- Handle incoming and outgoing post, parcels and deliveries, ensuring items are distributed promptly. \n
- Coordinate meeting room bookings and ensure rooms are prepared for meetings and events. \n
- Assist with organising meetings, training sessions and school events, including arranging refreshments where required. \n
- Monitor and order office and reception supplies to maintain adequate stock levels. \n
- Maintain accurate records, filing systems and student information in line with data protection requirements. \n
- Support senior leadership and administrative staff with general office duties as required. \n
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained when handling sensitive student and staff information. \n
Skills and Qualifications for the Receptionist:

- Previous experience in a receptionist, front-of-house or administrative role is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. \n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- Friendly, professional and approachable manner. \n
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. \n
- Ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively. \n
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook. \n
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. \n
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. \n
- Previous experience within an educational environment would be advantageous but is not essential. \n
