Field Service Engineer- Scotland

Elevation Recruitment Group's Engineering Services Division is supporting a global manufacturer to further strengthen their Field Service Engineering team with the recruitment of a Field Service Engineer to cover the whole of Scotland. This role is critical to keeping Scotland's public transport up and running!The Field Service Engineer is a really exciting opportunity to join a thriving and well established business with a brilliant, friendly and caring team who support their people! This is a customer facing role purely based in the field; you could be visiting workshops and garages as well as urgent roadside breakdowns.The Field Service Engineer will be fully equipped with a van and tools and the ability to manage your own time and control your diary, ensuring a prompt response to breakdowns and servicing queries.

The role responsibilities of the Field Service Engineer will include:

• All aspects of Public Transport (bus) maintenance, inspection, fault diagnostics, and repairs
\n
• Complete accurate service reports
\n
• Carrying out point of work risk assessments
\n
• Assist the customer when required, with servicing/repairs and associated queries
\n

The Field Service Engineer will need the following qualifications and experience:

\n
• Full driving licence and ideally located in the Glasgow/Edinburgh areas of Scotland
\n
• Minimum City & Guilds level 3 vehicle maintenance or equivalent (will also considor time served Bus Mechanics or Auto Electricians)
\n
• Excellent electrical and computer based diagnostic skills
\n
• Ability to work on your own initiative and unsupervised
\n
• Able to follow verbal and written work instructions
\n
