ESG Specialist / Sustainability SpecialistLocation: Tamworth / West Midlands area (National travel required)Salary: £30,000 per annum plus car allowanceWorking Pattern: Monday to Friday | 37.5 hours per week ( No weekend or bank holiday working )Industry: Specialised Supply Chain & LogisticsAbout the RoleAre you a passionate ESG or Sustainability Specialist looking to lead meaningful change within a high-impact, critical logistics environment?We are partnering with a major national supply chain specialist to recruit a Sustainability Lead . In this hybrid strategic-and-hands-on role, you will own the end-to-end creation, development, and delivery of the business's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) roadmap across their UK network.If you excel at turning strategy into action-from leading ISO 14001 audits to mentoring local sustainability champions-this is an outstanding opportunity to shape the green future of a leading operations network.Key ResponsibilitiesESG Strategy: Develop and drive the implementation of the UK ESG roadmap, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and industry best practices.Audit & Compliance: Oversee and manage audits for ISO 14001 and waste licensing, ensuring full regulatory compliance across operations.Culture & Engagement: Build, train, and manage a network of site-level sustainability champions to embed environmental awareness throughout the company culture.Reporting & Data: Collate, analyse, and report on key ESG metrics, preparing the annual UK ESG report and targeting high benchmark standards (e.g., EcoVadis).Project & Supplier Management: Lead innovative sustainability initiatives, evaluate supplier ESG compliance, and drive continuous environmental improvement.What We Are Looking ForProven Experience: Demonstrable background in a dedicated Sustainability, ESG, or CSR role.Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, environmental legislation, waste licensing, and systems like ISO 14001 .Data & Analytics: Proficiency in data analysis, report writing, and financial modeling for sustainability projects.Soft Skills: Influential communicator, self-motivated, and adept at inspiring multi-site operational teams.Mobility: Full clean UK driving license with willingness to travel nationally across UK sites as required.What's On Offer?Competitive Salary: £30,000 per annum plus car allowanceWork-Life Balance: 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays) + No weekend or bank holiday workFinancial Perks: Holiday purchase scheme, flexible earned-wage access, and up to 5% employer pension matchHealth & Wellbeing: 24/7 virtual GP access, physiotherapy, counselling (EAP), healthcare cash plan, and discounted gym membershipsAdditional Benefits: Life Assurance, Cycle to Work scheme, and employee discount portalHow to ApplyReady to take ownership of an ESG strategy in a dynamic supply chain environment?
