Sheet Metal & Concrete Carpenters

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

\n
• Reads blueprints, drawings and sketches to fully grasp requirements
\n
• Connects pieces or secures seams by riveting, rolling, soldering, or using steel screws
\n
• Installs insulated metal panels as directed
\n
• Takes measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed
\n
• Builds scaffolding and other construction structures
\n
• Measure, cut, and shape lumber, plywood, and other materials using hand and power tools.
\n
• Layout concrete forms to specified dimensions and elevations.
\n
• Install embedded items, anchor bolts, sleeves, inserts, and block-outs.
\n
• Set and align forms for foundations, footings, walls, columns, slabs, pits, equipment pads, and other concrete structures.
\n
• Assists other craft workers as needed or assigned
\n
• Inspects work sites for obstructions or holes that could cause structural weakness
\n
• Checks work and repairs or corrects any faults
\n
• Takes personal responsibility for fostering a safe workplace by following safety policies and procedures
\n
