Position Status: Permanent – Full Time

FLSA Status: Exempt / Non- Exempt

Location: Pasadena, TX

Work Schedule: Standard schedule is Monday through Friday (Night Shift).

Purpose:

\n

We are seeking an experienced Pipe Fabrication Supervisor to lead our high-volume production team. In this role, you will directly oversee daily shop operations, enforce strict safety standards, and ensure all pipe spools match exact engineering specifications. The ideal candidate blends deep technical trade knowledge with strong leadership skills to coach personnel and optimize overall material flow.

Core Job Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and schedule a team of pipefitters, welders, and shop helpers to hit daily production goals.
  • \n
  • Safety Enforcement: Maintain absolute compliance with OSHA regulations and internal company safety policies. Conduct routine toolbox talks and equipment inspections.
  • \n
  • Quality Assurance: Interpret isometric layouts, spool drawings, and welding specifications to verify dimensional accuracy and weld quality prior to shipment.
  • \n
  • Workflow Optimization: Direct material staging and schedule the use of shop equipment including pipe welding machines, band saws, beveling tools, and overhead cranes.
  • \n
  • Testing & Compliance: Supervise non-destructive testing (NDT) and hydro-testing operations to verify system integrity and zero-leak compliance.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

\n
    \n
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial pipefitting, structural welding, or mechanical pipe fabrication.
  • \n
  • Supervisory Background: At least 2 years of proven experience in a leadership, Supervision, or floor lead capacity within a manufacturing or construction setting.
  • \n
  • Technical Skillset: Strong proficiency reading isometrics, specifications, support details and advanced shop math calculation abilities, and familiarity with codes like ASME B31.3 or AWS.
  • \n
  • Technical Skills: Basic working knowledge of Microsoft excel, word, outlook, (Spoolfab/Acorn Plus)
  • \n
  • Automation/Machine welding experience preferred.
  • \n

Physical Requirement:

  • Occasionally lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds

  • Sit and stand for long periods of time

  • Occasionally stoop, kneel or crouch
  • \n
  • Use hands and arms to reach for, grasp and manipulate objects

  • Navigate an active industrial shop floor environment safely.
