Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a Special Education Teacher split between two welcoming elementary schools. This full-time contract opportunity enables you to contribute your expertise to around 15-20 students, collaborating closely with a dedicated team of educational professionals. You’ll enjoy a varied workweek with .5 FTE days assigned to each school, allowing you to build positive relationships across two unique learning communities.
Beginning as soon as possible, this position is set to run through winter break, with the potential to extend if a permanent candidate isn’t placed. Your adaptability, compassion, and instructional skills will help you make a difference for students who need you most.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Previous experience working with elementary-aged students in a special education setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Adaptable, positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
- Commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive classroom environment
Core Responsibilities:
