Your work week will follow a Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 37.5 hours, providing structure and consistency. With a strong network of paraprofessionals in the classroom, you'll have the collaboration and daily support needed to deliver top-notch special education services and cultivate positive outcomes for your students.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid special education teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain in state)
- Experience working with high school age students preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with paraprofessionals, families, and staff
- Passion for fostering individual student growth in an inclusive environment
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
What You'll Do:
- Provide specialized instruction and manage IEPs for a caseload of 10 high school students
- Work closely with paraprofessionals to guide instructional activities and support student needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages engagement and achievement
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and goals
- Track and document student data for ongoing assessment and compliance
