\nWe are seeking a highly skilled *Senior Tax Litigation Attorney* with a minimum of *5 years of experience* in *tax* *controversy* and *criminal and civil tax litigation*. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in representing clients before the IRS, U.S. Tax Court, and other relevant forums.\n

\n*Key Responsibilities:*\n
\n
\n* Represent clients in IRS audits, appeals, and collection matters.\n
\n* Handle civil and criminal tax litigation, including trials and administrative proceedings.\n
\n* Develop legal strategies for resolving complex tax disputes.\n
\n* Prepare and file motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.\n
\n* Conduct legal research and provide written analyses on various tax controversy matters.\n
\n* Advise clients on potential tax liabilities and defense strategies.\n
\n* Negotiate settlements with taxing authorities.\n
\n* Stay updated on federal and state tax laws and regulations.\n
\n
\n*Qualifications:*\n
\n
\n* Active member in good standing with Michigan State Bar; additional admission to the U.S. Tax Court preferred.\n
\n* Minimum *5 years of experience* in tax controversy and civil/criminal tax litigation.\n
\n* Strong understanding of IRS administrative procedures and tax court practice.\n
\n* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.\n
\n* Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.\n
\n* Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n

\n*Preferred Skills:*\n
\n
\n* LLM in Taxation.\n
\n* Experience with offshore voluntary disclosures and FBAR issues.\n
\n* Background in white-collar criminal defense is a plus.\n
\n
