Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Standard Arizona Secondary Teaching License, K-12 Special Education Certification, and valid IVP Fingerprint card required
• Demonstrated experience with students who have emotional disabilities or other related eligibility areas
• Familiarity with the development and implementation of IEPs and other special service activities in alignment with federal, state, and district requirements
• Awareness of the needs of at-risk, ethnic minority, limited English proficient, and exceptional learners
• Willingness to participate in or utilize Essential Element of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training or engage in staff development
• Strong collaboration, communication, and advocacy skills for supporting student growth and engagement

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct onsite instruction to students in special education across academic and social-emotional domains
• Support students’ prosocial and self-regulatory skills through evidence-based instructional practices
• Collaborate with colleagues, related services staff, and families to implement IEP goals and monitor progress
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all relevant guidelines and policies
• Contribute to a supportive, safe, and positive school environment for all learners

This contract position runs from early August through late May, with consistent full-time hours onsite.
