WORKING PEMB FOREMAN
\n Metal Buildings & Mission-Critical Data Center Construction
\n Traveling Position • Full-Time • Travel Pay & Per Diem Provided
ALPHA LABOR CO — NOW HIRING
\nABOUT THE ROLE
\n Alpha Labor Co is looking for an experienced, hands-on Working PEMB Foreman to lead crews on commercial and industrial builds nationwide, with a strong focus on data center construction. This is a traveling position for a leader who works right alongside the crew — not just directing from the sidelines — and who can run a crew, hold a schedule, and deliver a tight, code-compliant building with no exceptions on quality or safety.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
\n- \n
- Work in the field alongside the crew — hands-on, tools-on, not desk/oversight-only \n
- Lead and supervise crews erecting pre-engineered metal buildings from foundation bolts through final trim \n
- Read and work directly from erection drawings, structural plans, and anchor bolt layouts \n
- Direct framing, girt/purlin installation, insulated metal panel (IMP) installation for roof and walls, standing-seam roof installation, trim, flashing, and insulation \n
- Operate a vacuum lifter to safely set and install insulated metal panels \n
- Plan daily manpower, sequencing, and material staging to hit aggressive data center construction schedules \n
- Enforce jobsite safety, OSHA compliance, and site-specific data center security/access protocols \n
- Train, mentor, and hold crew accountable for workmanship and productivity \n
- Manage tools, equipment, and material inventory on-site; coordinate deliveries \n
- Travel to job sites across the country, including extended stays for the duration of a project \n
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW / BE GOOD AT
\n- \n
- 5+ years as a working PEMB Foreman or Lead — hands-on in the field, not just supervising \n
- Data center or other mission-critical/high-spec commercial build experience strongly preferred \n
- Metal building erection: structural steel, framing, panel systems, trim, and flashing \n
- Insulated metal panel (IMP) installation for both roof and wall systems \n
- Operating a vacuum lifter for panel installation \n
- Reading and interpreting structural and architectural drawings \n
- Strong leadership — running a crew, resolving field problems, keeping a job on schedule with minimal oversight \n
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred \n
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred \n
- Willing and able to travel extensively, including multi-week assignments \n
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites \n
- Able to perform physical work at height and in all weather/site conditions \n
COMPENSATION & TRAVEL
\n- \n
- Pay: $37–$43/hr, DOE (Depending on Experience) \n
- Per diem: $120/day for out-of-town assignments \n
- Travel pay provided \n
