Compensation Range: $49-54/hour\n

Location: Columbia, SC; Onsite – School Setting\n

Position Summary\n
\n School-based physical therapists help students improve mobility and physical function so they can fully participate in the classroom and throughout the school environment. As related service providers under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), they collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement therapy goals that support each student's access to and success in the general education curriculum. Responsibilities\n

  • Hours per week: 16 hours per week
  • \n
  • Contract length: School Year
  • \n
Key Duties\n
    \n
  • Interpret physician orders related to professional area of responsibility
  • \n
  • Assess gross motor skills and therapeutic equipment needs of students
  • \n
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and modify treatment plans based on physician orders and assessment of student as appropriate
  • \n
  • Complete IEP, MET, Medicaid and treatment forms/reports
  • \n
  • Maintain treatment/progress notes and Medicaid documentation per professional standards
  • \n
  • Train Paraprofessionals/PTAs on various student plans
  • \n
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • \n
Requirements \n
Licenses & Certifications\n
• Licensed Physical Therapist – State of SC\n
• SC Driver’s License\n
• Pediatric experience preferred\n
