Special Education Teacher (ASD Program) – Full-Time
Location: Waterford, MI
ProCare Therapy is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher for a full-time, onsite position in the Donelson Hills Program in Waterford, Michigan. This opportunity is ideal for an educator who is passionate about supporting elementary students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a highly collaborative and well-supported classroom environment.
Position Details:
Full-time, onsite position
Elementary ASD classroom
Donelson Hills Program
Strong multidisciplinary support team including Speech-Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and Social Workers
Three paraprofessionals assigned to the classroom
No toileting or lifting required
Responsibilities:
Provide individualized instruction to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder in alignment with their IEPs
Develop and implement engaging lessons that support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional growth
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of IEP goals and objectives
Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure student success
Foster a structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
Active Michigan Special Education Teaching Certification required
Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) preferred
Strong collaboration, classroom management, and communication skills
Passion for creating meaningful learning experiences for students with diverse needs
