Civil Engineer

Chastain & Associates is seeking a Civil Engineer, in Decatur, IL

Perform civil engineering duties for various infrastructure projects, projects such as bridges & culverts within townships & counties, you will be ensuring compliance with BLR & BDE standards to highest degree. Duties and projects to create structural models in MDX software to design & rate steel girder bridges according to AAstho specs. Generate HEC-RAS models from surveying data to conduct hydraulic calculations on natural & man-made channels & floodplains. You will utilize OpenRoads Designer software to create precise structural drawings, facilitating seamless integration of design elements & alignment with project objectives. You will prepare comprehensive plans & detailed docs. for Resurfacing (3P) projects per IDOT regulations. Required: Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, or equiv. US perm. work auth. reqd.
