Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group has partnered with a large nonprofit organization to find an Accounts Receivable Analyst. As the Accounts Receivable Analyst, you will work within a small team and be responsible for processing and monitoring financial transactions related to customer payments (daily cash activities, applying payments to outstanding invoices, resolving discrepancies, etc. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree along with 4 years of revenue management experience (specifically cash applications), proficient in Excel and an ERP system and able to pivot within multiple systems to process transactions. Responsibilities:
  • Accurately record daily cash transactions, perform bank reconciliations, and efficiently apply payments to open invoices.
  • Drive daily collections to optimize DSO, resolve customer invoicing disputes, process refunds, and ensure compliance with bad debt policies.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly reconciliations, support month-end close activities, and investigate financial batch discrepancies across payment channels and integrated systems.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal/external inquiries via shared mailboxes and ticketing systems (within SLAs), while preparing ad-hoc financial reports and data analysis.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with technical teams to test and implement workflow enhancements, optimize financial processes, and support strategic team initiatives.

Qualifications/Background Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, information technology or related fields. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • 4 years’ experience managing revenue operations
  • Proficient in Excel and experience working in an ERP system with the demonstrated experience having to pivot within multiple systems within one transaction.
  • Nonprofit experience is a plus.
