Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a resource classroom setting. This role is based near Tolleson, AZ, with immediate openings available. You’ll collaborate with a dedicated team to provide individualized instruction to a caseload of 25-35 students, helping each learner reach their full potential.

This contract position runs through May 21, 2026, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (8 hours daily). You’ll primarily be working at the Union/Hurley school site, ensuring stability and routine for both you and your students. Two positions are available, giving you the chance to work alongside other passionate professionals.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification for Arizona (or eligibility for certification)
  • Experience working with a resource classroom or with students requiring mild-to-moderate support preferred
  • Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
  • Ability to adapt lessons and materials for diverse learning needs
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proficient in classroom management and behavioral intervention strategies

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Manage a caseload of 25-35 students in collaborative partnership with other staff and service providers
  • Write and maintain IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
  • Provide differentiated instruction in small group and one-on-one settings
  • Track and report student progress toward academic and behavioral goals
  • Foster an inclusive, positive, and growth-oriented classroom environment
