This opportunity is housed within an elementary setting, where you’ll be one of three special education teachers, exclusively responsible for the extended resource/self-contained classroom. You’ll work with K4-5th grade students, providing tailored support—some for the full day, others for targeted instruction in ELA and/or math. Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification
  • Background in extended resource/self-contained classroom settings
  • Experience with elementary grade levels (K4-5th preferred)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in diverse educational environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction to students in the extended resource/self-contained setting
  • Plan and implement IEPs while working closely with general education and special education teams
  • Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere
  • Collaborate with staff, families, and external providers for optimal student outcomes
  • Provide data-driven instruction in ELA and/or math as needed
