Job Title: Special Education Art Teacher
Schedule: Full-Time

Position Summary:
We are seeking a creative and dedicated Special Education Art Teacher to provide inclusive visual arts instruction for students with diverse learning needs. The ideal candidate will foster artistic expression while adapting lessons to support students' academic, social, and developmental goals.
Primary Duties:
Plan and deliver engaging art lessons that accommodate a variety of learning needs
Modify instructional materials and projects to align with students' IEPs
Encourage creativity, self-expression, and confidence through visual arts
Utilize adaptive tools and teaching strategies to maximize student participation
Maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive classroom environment
Collaborate with special education staff, therapists, and school personnel
Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation
Communicate regularly with families and educational team members
Support positive student behavior and social-emotional development
Participate in IEP meetings and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Art Education, Special Education, or a related field
Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Art Education and/or Special Education (or ability to obtain appropriate certification)
Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
Knowledge of differentiated instruction and IEP implementation
Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a school team
