What you bring:
- Valid Special Education teaching credentials with active ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) licensure
- Previous experience teaching at the elementary level, especially in special education settings
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to design and implement differentiated instruction tailored to diverse learning needs
- A genuine passion for fostering growth and inclusion among students with special needs
- Team-oriented mindset, eager to collaborate with educators, support staff, and families
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to elementary students with ASD
- Develop and adapt lesson plans that align with individualized education programs (IEPs) and state standards
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to monitor progress, assess student needs, and adjust strategies as needed
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to families and school teams
- Foster a nurturing, structured learning atmosphere that encourages student confidence and participation
- Participate in IEP meetings, school professional development, and parent conferences
