HR Generalist
Location: Norwood, NJ
Schedule: 100% On-Site

We are seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused HR Coordinator to support a busy Human Resources department. This role is responsible for coordinating HR processes, maintaining employee records, supporting recruitment and onboarding efforts, tracking leave administration, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment regulations. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment while serving as a key resource for employees and management.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations & Employee Support
  • Coordinate meetings and communication across departments to ensure alignment and efficient collaboration.
  • Respond to employee inquiries via email and HR systems, providing support and directing questions to the appropriate resources.
  • Assist with day-to-day HR administrative functions and departmental operations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related questions and processes.
Recruiting & Onboarding
  • Support non-exempt recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, scheduling interviews, and coordinating candidate communications.
  • Conduct new hire orientations and assist with onboarding activities.
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including employment documentation and system access coordination.
  • Ensure a smooth and positive employee experience throughout the hiring and separation process.
Employee Records & HR Systems
  • Maintain accurate, confidential employee personnel files and HR records.
  • Update employee information within HR systems, including job titles, department changes, and other personnel updates.
  • Support HRIS maintenance and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Track and support leave administration, including PTO, LOA, and FMLA requests.
  • Communicate leave updates with managers and payroll as needed.
Payroll & Benefits Administration
  • Assist with payroll-related activities by reviewing employee data and supporting corrections.
  • Provide administrative support for benefits enrollment, changes, and employee questions.
  • Coordinate with payroll and benefits providers to ensure timely and accurate processing.
Reporting & Compliance
  • Prepare employee census reports and recurring HR summaries.
  • Support HR projects, audits, compliance initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
Employee Engagement & Culture
  • Help coordinate employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and company events.
  • Support activities that promote a positive workplace culture and employee experience.
Qualifications
  • Prior HR, administrative, or recruiting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR processes, onboarding, employee records management, and leave administration.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally.
  • Bilingual Spanish is a strong plus.
