Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with high school or alternative school populations preferred
- Strong background in direct service special education instruction
- Expertise in case management and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) writing
- Skilled at leading and participating in IEP meetings
- Confidence working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored, direct instruction to students in small group and individual settings
- Manage a manageable caseload with a focus on student growth and achievement
- Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs, keeping documentation up to date
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and planning with staff and families
- Work closely with other service providers to ensure comprehensive support for each student
