OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS

Our organization is on the lookout for a fellowship-trained, board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to become part of our esteemed and well-established Cardiac Surgery program at our facility in Syracuse, NY.

This full-time position is integrated within a vibrant team that comprises five cardiac surgeons alongside a hospital-based Cardiologist group. The clinic and surgical offices are conveniently located on the hospital grounds, and the role is bolstered by a dedicated team of Surgical PAs who provide round-the-clock coverage in our modern, state-of-the-art hospital environment.

We offer a wide array of cardiology services, including Non-Invasive, Electrophysiology, Interventional, and Structural Heart specialists. Our program has consistently received recognition from independent healthcare quality evaluators as one of the leading cardiac programs in both New York State and across the nation.

Attracting patients from a broad tri-state area centered around Syracuse, our team achieves outstanding outcomes as assessed by STS (Society of Thoracic Surgeons) standards. The program provides a comprehensive range of cardiac surgical services, from minimally invasive techniques to complex surgeries utilizing advanced methodologies. Although we do not currently conduct transplants, our surgical results consistently surpass both state and national benchmarks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Board certification in General Surgery and Cardiothoracic Surgery
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
• Robotic Certification and Experience is advantageous
• Eligibility for or possession of a NYS License

OPPORTUNITY DETAILS:

• Employed position within the hospital
• The program currently performs heart surgeries annually at our facility
• Clinic and Surgical Office conveniently situated on the hospital campus
• Call rotation of 1:5
• Strong in-house support from CT Surgical PAs
• Modern hospital facilities equipped with Cardiothoracic OR rooms
• Robust referral network from both employed and non-employed regional cardiology practices

RECRUITMENT PACKAGE

• Salary range: $700,000 - $950,000
• The stated salary represents the initial total compensation range and does not encompass productivity bonuses, quality and performance incentives, extra shift bonuses, or other cash compensation applicable to the role. Additionally, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits from their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in compliance with State law and may vary based on the aforementioned factors.
