Elementary Special Education Teacher in Omaha, NE

Located near Omaha, NE, this position allows you to support and empower around 15-20 students across two welcoming schools, splitting your time evenly between both campuses. This contract role begins ASAP and continues until winter break, with the option to remain longer if a permanent hire is not secured.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (or eligibility for Nebraska certification)
• Experience working with elementary students in inclusive or resource settings
• Strong classroom management and individualized instruction skills
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs, track student progress, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Excellent communication and organization abilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and differentiated support to students with diverse learning needs
• Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Foster an inclusive learning environment that promotes each child's growth and confidence
• Coordinate with general education teachers, support staff, and families for optimal student outcomes
• Maintain progress documentation and comply with all district and state regulations
• Split schedule between two elementary schools, dedicating .5 FTE days to each location
