Production Supervisor
Job Description
Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate daily production activities to achieve safety, quality, and productivity targets.
Assign work responsibilities and allocate operators based on skills, experience, and operational requirements.
Prepare equipment and workstations for production activities.
Monitor production workflow, identify process issues, and implement corrective actions.
Train, coach, and develop production operators and team leaders.
Conduct process audits and ensure adherence to manufacturing standards.
Promote and enforce Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (OHSE) policies and procedures.
Ensure proper use of safety equipment and compliance with workplace safety requirements.
Maintain production, quality, attendance, and operational records.
Monitor finished product quality and ensure compliance with customer requirements.
Maintain and update employee skill matrices.
Report production KPIs and operational performance metrics to management.
Optimize the use of labor, materials, and equipment to improve efficiency.
Participate in daily production meetings and shift communication activities.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, cost, and productivity.
Lead or participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, 5 Whys, and corrective action implementation.
Conduct risk assessments and safety inspections.
Support safety committees and promote a culture of workplace awareness.
Define and track performance indicators to improve operational effectiveness.
Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and logistics teams to resolve production issues and support on-time delivery.
Follow company ethics, information security, and operational policies.
Qualifications
Associate degree, vocational training, or equivalent manufacturing experience required; bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
Experience leading production teams and managing daily manufacturing operations.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Basic computer skills and mathematical aptitude.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to motivate, coach, and develop team members.
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in English (written and verbal).
