Special Education Teacher in Chicago, IL

You'll provide instruction and support to a manageable caseload of 13 students, helping them achieve their personal and academic goals.

Key Qualifications & Requirements:

• Current and valid LBS1 certification required
• Experience working with K-12 students in Special Education settings
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Passion for supporting diverse learners through tailored strategies

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality special education instruction to K-12 students
• Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in collaboration with families and school teams
• Track and report on student progress toward IEP goals
• Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods to accommodate individual needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
• Maintain accurate records and compliance with all relevant special education regulations

This full-time contract role offers a weekly schedule of 35 hours, Monday through Friday, providing a structured routine and a balanced workload. Compensation for this position ranges from $40-45 per hour, with weekly pay.
