Commercial Litigation attorney
Job Description
Our client is growing and looking for a Mid-Level Litigation Associate to join our small, friendly team on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for an attorney who enjoys sophisticated civil litigation but wants flexibility and autonomy while working under the guidance of a senior attorney in a highly collaborative environment. We work on business, real estate, employment, copyright, and some selective injury (wrongful death cases).
You will work under the supervision of a senior attorney, with meaningful responsibility on files from intake through resolution, including motion practice, discovery, and case strategy support.
Key Responsibilities
Draft and revise pleadings, motions, and memoranda in business and commercial litigation matters under the supervision of a senior attorney.
Handle written discovery (drafting and responding to interrogatories, document requests, RFAs) and assist with meet-and-confer efforts.
Analyze documents and evidence, help shape case themes, and prepare deposition outlines and hearing materials.
Collaborate with and help oversee paralegals on filings, docketing, and discovery management.

Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts in a clear, professional manner.
What We're Looking For
Mid-level attorney with strong business/commercial litigation experience (Massachusetts-focused).
Extensive knowledge of the Massachusetts Rules of Civil Procedure and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, particularly with respect to motion practice and discovery. Most know rule 9A.
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while being responsive to supervision and feedback from a senior attorney.
Strong writing, judgment, and attention to detail, with a practical, problem-solving mindset.
Ideally worked with Netdocs, CLIO, and other e-discovery vendors.
